The comment Lana Wachowski made at that trans100 event - about how she knows a lot of black people that would vote against trans-friendly bathroom bills, and that they should know better because black people used to be forced to use segregated bathrooms - is probably one of the worst things I've ever heard a white LGBT celebrity say. She and her sister have a long and well-documented history of being two of the most racist people in Hollywood, and this is a perfect example.

While she didn't directly say that black people are responsible for preventing trans-friendly legislation, she still heavily implied it. She still singled out black people as opponents of trans rights. She still, for some reason, basically said that black people being transphobic is worse than nonblack people being transphobic because it's also hypocritical (never mind that you can certainly say the same for cisgay transphobes, who she never mentioned, but she felt the need to single out black people because it's... bathroom-related?) and that she expects better of them - why would you expect better treatment from a cis black person, but not from a cis white person? She also heavily implied that trans people and black people are wholly separate, mutually exclusive communities, as if there are no black trans or transfem people

The Wachowski sisters love to make their films & shows racially and culturally diverse, they love to fill their shit with nonwhite people (who can be cis, straight, gay, but conveniently never transgender, as if that can be chalked up to coincidence), but their respect for blackness & black people crumbles as soon as they meet a black transphobe. Suddenly black people have to be singled out as transphobic. Suddenly transphobia is worse when it comes from a black person. Suddenly blackness is antithetical to transness and suddenly those are separate communities.

The Wachowskis are racist. Lana Wachowski is racist and her remarks at the trans100 event were antiblack. Audiences are way too ready to overlook the anti-Asian racism in Cloud Atlas, they're way too ready to overlook the comments the sisters made about white saviours not being a real thing, they're way too ready to overlook the active removal of any and all references to Norsefire being racist or white supremacist in V for Vendetta (despite making it clear they're anti-LGBT!), and they're way too ready to overlook the trans100 comments. They're influential white artists, and so (like we see constantly on this platform) any attempt to address or criticise their racism is met with allegations of transphobia. It's not transphobic to point out when trans people are racist. It doesn't make you a TERF to point out when transfems are racist. It doesn't make you transphobic to point out when trans people make the LGBT community unwelcoming and hostile towards black or other nonwhite people.

The Wachowskis, their comments in real life, and the media they make, are racist. They perfectly exemplify the kind of stuff Tyler's been posting about, where they drive qpoc out of the community, decry criticism from people of colour as transmisogynistic, and are racially exclusionary in their support for LGBT rights.

People are using the social justice language of less than a decade ago to argue points antithetical to the original goals. The SJWs may have been pro-trans but it was also basic understanding that women should be allowed and encouraged to hate men, that black people should be allowed and encouraged to white people, that gay people should be allowed and encouraged to hate straight people etc. It was uniformly understood that oppressed people need a voice in this world, and that that voice isn't always going to be kind or friendly. And that 'hating' your oppressors has little to no real-world impact outside of hurt feelings.

Now one of the most widespread and oldest oppressor groups in the world we're not allowed to 'hate' because it means you hate their other intersectioning identities. The language of intersectional social justice is being evoked to argue for a hyper-individualistic and flaccid anti-politics.

It's startling to me that you could make this point for hating 'cis' people, able-bodied people, straight people, white people. Why even differentiate 'qu**r' people out if under this exact same logic we're not allowed to hate cis gay people because some of them are black? But that's the point, isn't? We're not allowed to hate person of x oppressor group because they're also of y oppressed group, but then we're not allowed to hate the oppressors of y either because they might also intersect with x. In the end. there's nothing to differentiate what makes an oppressor and oppressed because anyone could be any of them at any time. And, with gender, anyone could secretly be nonbinary and therefore part of the only group that's publicly allowed to get away with talking about the evils of their oppressor class!

The anxieties of the social justice era, of 'pop feminism vs gamergate', of black lives matter, of gay marriage, of increased representation of 'minorities' in the media, is rapidly coming into view. We're in an era of backlash. Like an abuser learning therapy language to be a more effective abuser, the apolitical centrists and worried masses have found an effective way to silence those who truly wish to enact change. Feminists, gay rights activists, BLM protestors and beyond were never going to be given the benefit of the doubt, our movements were never going to be seen as 'fair'. That's part of the whole reason we decided 'actually, we're allowed to 'hate' our oppressors and say 'male/white people tears' etc.' They're stealing that from us. The concept of the terf has been the perfect in-road into destroying all the gains that have been made. Literally every uncomfortable leftist politic will eventually be tacked onto the terf umbrella.

Fortunately, my hope is that this is fundamentally unsustainable. The red scare was a period in politics where being a 'communist' was seen as a catch-all term for anyone wishing to 'destroy america', whatever that means - but in reality, it was anyone who advocated for progressive politics and said things that went against the conservative status quo. The current right-wing have dredged up the same argumentative style with phrases like 'cultural marxism', but the left have found something similar with the 'terf'. If you may notice, even the right wing have started to use the phrase. Right-wingers and left-wingers alike will absolutely use the terf boogeyman when they need to. Eventually, the word terf will be so comedically meaningless whilst trans politics will be so unavoidable that regular people should be able to reasonably escape the term simply by sheer number alone. But that is a while away yet. In the meantime, I simply watch and brace myself for the next braindead post like the above that pops up on my feed due to using the 'radfem' tag.

I made an easy intro post for this reason, but perhaps I need to redo it with a more point blank attitude for some of you.

Here is the blunt of my annoyance -

I am an alter in a Dissociative Identity System. This used to be referred to as having Multiple Personalities. Meaning, when I'm online, some times another alter (or personality) is present and not in the mood for the things I come to tumblr for.

Additionally, this means that the way I appear to look in my head (the inner world, as we call it) is different from the way my body physically appears. So, I often use other aesthetic and AI generated photos to depict how I look and feel.

This has become an issue, as many people follow me in hopes that I'll share sexy pictures with them. Which I am happy to do, for some, but keep in mind... My body is plus size, and I will not be friendly to anyone who makes a negative comment on it.

The other alters (or personalities) have a lot of trauma around body image and I will not have my internal system hurt by my attempt to sexually express myself and have fun.

That being said, we're also Autistic. So if you want pictures from us, you must ask for them directly. As we are very blunt and direct and will not consider it consent unless it is equally blunt and direct.

like stated above , i do practice ship exclusivity , but not character exclusivity. there’s way too many blogs of each character to only write with one single interpretation; there may be occasional exceptions on this for obscure characters. i will have mains though and you can find those blogs on my connections page, which will also indicate if they’re ship exclusive too. if you want to be a main of mine, we need to not only be actively writing with each other, but also be pals ooc.

I’m Moss, and I’ve been roleplaying online for nearly twenty years, now. I know myself well enough to let potential RP partners know the following:

I reply slow in conversation. Please give me the grace of patience.

I reply quickly to posts. Please don’t think this means you must do the same; you’ll reply when you get to it and I’ll survive until then.

I am not comfortable writing with anyone under eighteen. This is not negotiable. I am 30+ years old.

I prefer multi-paragraph writing for myself, but our styles don’t have to match. As long as I’ve got something to respond to in your post it could be a single sentence and I’d be happy.

Now for the actual rules. Don’t consider all of these fully stone-set except for the first three, but do consider all of the rest of them things that would require discussion and planning to bend.

No-one under 18. This is not negotiable. It is also listed multiple times in multiple locations to hammer home the point.

No out-of-character shitheadery. In-character shitheadery is encouraged.

No terfs. I’m a proud transsexual and my favorite tool is the block button.

No God-modding. I’ll move my character, you move yours.

Not so much a rule as a request, but please don’t use micro fonts with me. My eyesight is bad. Bad-bad.

I ship chemistry. That said, all the archangels are available for shipping if it feels right. And I'm always willing to pre-plot romance and then roll from there.

This said I love shipping. I’m multi-ship and duplicate friendly. Every thread is its own distinct universe and never the any will cross unless it’d be fun as hell to do so.

I write a generally ambiguously-timelined Archangels; has X important thing happened or not? Dunno–check with me ooc and we’ll decide if it’d be more fun for something or other to have happened already or not.

I prefer to keep NSFW under read-more cuts; whether or not you do is up to you.

No NSFW gifs in threads, please. It’s an easy way to get your blog deleted. However, if it’s something you’re really sold on then talk to me and we may be able to migrate a thread to e-mail. As a note, this is also somewhere I’d be happy to write.

There is nothing your character is not allowed to do to mine so long as it is feasible that it could be done. When in doubt, ask first; I promise it won’t ruin the surprise because while I may now know what’s coming, I won’t necessarily know how it’s coming.

No tw’s apply to me, but if there are any you need tagged and you don’t feel like having them out in the open on your blog (a fair thing; you don’t owe me or anyone insight into what upsets you) just let me know on anon and I’ll do my best to tag things that fall under it. This stands as a within reason segment to be held at my own discretion.
